Location: Predominately Salford, with flexibility to support other areas that the Company operates in.
Salary: £26,403 - £28,142 per year
Hours: 35 hours per week
Leave: 28 days annual leave (plus bank holidays and a wellbeing day)
About the role
You will support disabled people to access activities they’re interested in within the community alongside others with similar interests.
You will be able to support people to identify goals, interests and to motivate and support them to achieve these through increased activity and signposting.
You will be able to engage and communicate easily with people with a range of communication needs and from different backgrounds, and be adaptable and creative in your approach.
You will be able to work alone, as well as part of a team, including having the ability to deal with difficult situations as they arise. You will work with local activity providers, helping them understand how they can better support disabled people, to create a broader network of local community support.
With a record of personal development and learning, you will be able to travel easily around Salford and surrounding areas, to work flexibly according to the needs of those you support and the organisation. Being a Lifestyle Coach can be challenging and requires confidence and resilience but is also a lot of fun. For the right person, it is a hugely rewarding role.
Application process
We aim to offer the role as soon as possible so applicants will be considered on a first come first serve basis. We therefore encourage you to submit applications as early as possible.
Applications will be screened and, if successful, invited to a practical, observational interview to gauge suitability for the position, with dates for interviews discussed and agreed upon contact. If you do not hear from us then please assume your applicant has not been successful.
Additional to this role, we are looking to recruit a bank of Lifestyle Coaches to support the service as it grows. This could include providing
session cover on a short term basis with a view to regular part time hours offered longer term.
You can apply for the current position, and to be considered for the Lifestyle Coach bank, by completing the forms on the coming pages.
We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and particularly encourage disabled people to apply.
A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be required for the successful applicant. However, having a criminal record is not necessarily a barrier to being offered this role.
