About the role
Do you believe everybody deserves the opportunity to live a healthier, happier and more connected life?
Beyond Empower is looking for a compassionate, confident and motivated Lifestyle Coach to support disabled adults across Salford to access activities, improve their wellbeing and build meaningful connections within their communities.
This is a hands-on, community-based role. You'll support disabled people to identify their interests and goals and access activities alongside others with similar interests. This could include anything from gym sessions, exercise classes, swimming, walking and cycling to arts and crafts and social activities.
You'll be supporting people with a range of access and communication needs, helping them build confidence, develop independence and try new experiences. You'll also build relationships with local venues, activity providers and community organisations, helping to create more opportunities for disabled people across Salford.
We're looking for someone who is confident, adaptable and a good communicator, enjoys working with people and is comfortable being active and out and about in the community. You'll need to be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
This isn't a desk-based or building-based support role – every day is different, and you'll spend much of your time out in the community supporting people to thrive. Beyond Empower does not provide personal care.
Being a Lifestyle Coach can be challenging at times, but it's also a lot of fun and, for the right person, a hugely rewarding role.
