Responsible to: Community Outreach Coordinator
Hourly rate: £14.51 per hour + pension contribution and staff benefits
Normal hours of work: 7 hours per week (Friday), with the potential for the position to offer additional hours in line with growth of the service
Leave: 28 working days (pro rata)
Principal place of work: Predominately Salford, with flexibility to support other areas that the Company operates in.
Contract length: For a fixed term expiring on 31st July 2027 (with a possible extension dependent on funding)

About the role

You will support disabled people to access activities they’re interested in within the community alongside others with similar interests.

You will be able to support people to identify goals, interests and to motivate and support them to achieve these through increased activity and signposting.

You will be able to engage and communicate easily with people with a range of communication needs and from different backgrounds, and be adaptable and creative in your approach.

You will be able to work alone, as well as part of a team, including having the ability to deal with difficult situations as they arise.

You will work with local activity providers, helping them understand how they can better support disabled people, to create a broader network of local community support.

With a record of personal development and learning, you will be able to travel easily around Salford and surrounding areas, to work flexibly according to the needs of those you support and the organisation.

Being a Lifestyle Coach can be challenging and requires confidence and resilience but is also a lot of fun. For the right person, it is a hugely rewarding role.

Additional to this role, we are looking to recruit a bank of Lifestyle Coaches to support the service as it grows. This could include providing session cover on a short term basis with a view to regular part time hours offered longer term.
